No, at the completion of your race you will be taken down to the ground floor via elevator. (the fastest in the southern hemisphere).
It is between 18-22 steps per floor followed by a landing then 180 degrees. You’ll be ascending clockwise and there is a railing for assistance. Some of our faster climbers have said that the railing comes into play at about the 50th floor to assist in pulling yourself upwards.
Prizes and awards will be presented on event day. There will be plenty of activities to be involved in at the bottom of the Eureka Tower in the concourse area. You will also have access to Eureka Skydeck 88 at the completion of your walk/climb. When you are ready to depart Eureka Skydeck 88 you simply take the elevators down to ground level.
There will not be any allocated change rooms so we suggest you wear your race attire to the event. The stairwells can get stuffy so we advise that you wear something cool and comfortable. Appropriate running footwear is advised.
