Make sure you eat a low-fat breakfast (or snack three hours before) that will be digested properly and provide your body with the protein your muscles need to get you through the challenge. A good source of protein is from eggs, so why not try scrambled eggs on toast with a glass of orange juice for extra energy.
Eat a Banana at least 1 hour before the race. This will give you the extra energy you need to get you through the climbing challenge.
Hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water before and after the climbing challenge. There will also be water stations in the stairwell however it is also suggested you take a bottle of water with you on the climb.
