The best way to get physically ready for a stair climbing event such as Eureka Climb is to train on stairs. All the experts say that if you’re wanting to get fit for a specific goal, you should be training for it specifically – that is to train doing the “stuff” you will be doing on the day of your event.
Running is fine but the incline involved with stairs will have you out of breath quickly unless you’ve trained your body to be ready for an up-hill battle. So we’ve put together a list of locations across Victoria that you can train at – and they’re all outdoors and therefore FREE!
Don’t see your stairs? Let us know, send us a pic and we’ll add your favourite stair climbing training place to the list! Just email us: email@example.com
Eureka Climb is Australia’s biggest tower climb up 88 floors of Eureka Tower in Melbourne to the highest viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere! The event is held on the Sunday directly following the conclusion of the Spring Racing Carnival each year in November. The 2017 event will be on Sunday 19 November. Registrations available through this website.
